YATES, Joan Agnes (well known through her work as a school bus driver and involvement in minor hockey and scouting) – Peacefully in her sleep at her home on Saturday, February 28, 2015, Joan Yates (nee MacDonald) of Havelock, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Philip Yates for over 40 years. Dear mother of Gordon Babcock (Elizabeth) of Beeton, Denise Waud (David) of Kirkfield, Robert Babcock (Melanie) of Omemee, Douglas Babcock (Alyson) of Port Perry and Darren Babcock-Yates (Sarah) of Lindsay. Nana will be fondly remembered by her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Sister of Betty Dawson and Chris Pillar. Also survived by her nieces and nephews. A celebration of Joan’s life will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the HAVELOCK LEGION. 8 Ottawa Street West.
