Condolence: This news has saddened me beyond words. I remember Donny from back in the 70's when we served together in Borden. Boy what a time we had together. Anyone who has served with Don knows what I am talking about. Judy I know words only offer small comfort at this time but I know Don was lucky to have you. Rest in peace old friend.

Condolence From: Stephen Rice (CWO)
Condolence: Judy and family please accept my profound condolences I have fond memories of Don from our days in Edmonton. Dogs, camping, baileys's and a fire I know Don has been reunited with all his beloved dogs that have passed (particularly the Shepherds) and they were waiting for him to join them. Although I had lost touch with Don over the past couple of years once I could no longer drop by his office on my way somewhere hot dry and dusty; I have often thought of him and the lessons he taught me both of work and life. My prayers are with you all. Steve

Condolence From: Ron & Darlene Kinney
Condolence: Judi, since we first met you and Don when you arrived at the Canadian Embassy in Havana Cuba, the two of you were like a breath of fresh air in an other wise stuffy room filled with boring political protocol. Don's strong leadership, wisdom and great sense of humour gained him the respect and admiration of all.
Outside of the workplace we had the pleasure to get to know you as a family and become friends, and with 3 back to back postings together the bonds of that friendship only strengthed. Darlene and I will always cherish the laughs and memories we had with you and Don. The world has just lost a good man, RIP Don. Judi, you and Jackie are in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: My condolences to your family Don. I met him in Inuvik in the early 70s and he convinced me to become an MP. He was a very kind man, very personable and I was honoured to have met him and always enjoyed seeing him throughout our military careers. Even after retirement we kept in touch as we were both commissionaires, I was in Brockville and seen him in Kingston on occasion. Rest in peace.
