Obituary for Helen Marie Pullyblank (Lynch)

PULLYBLANK, Helen Marie – Peacefully at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, Peterborough, on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, Helen Pullyblank (nee Lynch) of Peterborough, formerly of Hastings, in her 85th year. Wife of the late Robert Pullyblank. Dear sister of Albert Lynch. Predeceased by siblings Jack, Mary and Edward. Loving daughter of Albert Lynch and Gertrude (Heffernan). Beloved sister-in-law of Reg Shaughnessy, Marie Lynch, Virginia Lynch and Marina Guppy. Loving aunt of Joe, John, Nancy, Debbie, Jeannie, Teresa, Reg, Colleen, Judy, Albert, Brian, Paul, Angela and Maureen. Helen was born on the farm in Hastings on August 31st, 1931. She was a devoted lifelong member of the C.W.L. of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. John the Baptist Church. Helen will be fondly remembered for her kindness and generosity, her excellent baking, cake decorating, her love of euchre, and her beautiful gardens. She was a long time employee of Outboard Marine Corporation. Helen was so hospitable and her “meals for lumberjacks” were legendary. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to staff and volunteers of Marycrest Home for the Aged and St. Joseph’s at Fleming for their compassionate care toward Helen. Resting at the BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HASTINGS on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Hastings at 11:00 am, Reverend Joseph Devereaux officiating.
