HARRIS, Joan Mary (nee Hughes) — It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Joan Harris. She passed away peacefully at her residence in Havelock, Cedar Shores on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the age of 73. Joan joins her beloved husband Elmer “Al” who adored her dearly. Loving mother of Judy Fung (Rock Beaudoin), Terry Fung (Suzanne Bulhoes), Tommy Fung (Genevieve Lafontaine). Grandma will be sadly missed by Jason, Erik, Lea, Audrey (predeceased), Cedric, Joey, Maika, Loic & Nelly. Sister of Noreen (Robbie White, both predeceased) & Neil. Sister in law of Doris Harris (late Earl Sherman). Predeceased by her parents Fern Blanche & Bobby Hodgins. Survived by many nieces & nephews, and her cat “Precious” that she loved. Special aunt to Don & Robin White. The Fung family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jack & Barbara Aldan, for being great friends and neighbours through the years. Joan will continue to be in the hearts of her many cherished friends and family. A celebration of life will be held at BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HAVELOCK, 20 George St. W., Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at 2:30, Reverend David Estabrooks officiating. An interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery for both Elmer and Joan. In memory of Joan, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
