Summers, Eric James — Peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital surrounded by family, May 23, 2017, Eric Summers of Hastings in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Ruby Scriver for over 70 years. Dear father of James (Eleanor), Linda Rostron (John), Mari and Barbara, all of B.C. and Karen of Hastings. Grandpa will be sadly missed by his 5 grandsons, 8 grand daughters and 19 great grand children. Brother of Gladys Stapley (late Forde). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Proud CN employee of 40 years retiring as track supervisor for all of Canada. Family and friends may gather at BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HASTINGS from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Sunday. Legion Service Sunday 6:45pm. A funeral service will be held at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 11am, with an hour visitation prior at the church.
