Crowley, Anne Catherine — (August 23, 1920– August 17, 2016) — Anne passed away peacefully on Wednesday just shy of her 96th birthday at Peterborough Regional Health Centre surrounded by loving family members. Predeceased by her parents, Bartholemew and Katherine (Lynch) and by sisters and brothers Cassie Collins (Joseph); Josephine Waters (Edward); Mary Crowley, Frank Crowley (Margaret); Margaret Hurley (Kevin); Albert Crowley (Anne). Cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews. Anne was so blessed with the love and care of her nieces and nephews - Mary Gibson (Vince) (predeceased); Gerard Waters (Mary) (predeceased); Richard Waters (Jean) Carol Anne Ralph (Mike); Joseph Crowley (Jan); Eileen Balfour (Walter, predeceased); Mary Theresa McKeiver (predeceased) (Carl);Patricia Cole (Paul); Francis Crowley, Monica McKelvie(Frank); Dennis Hurley (predeceased); Anne Marie Brown (Ted); Elizabeth Toms (Wayne); Kevin Hurley Jr. ; Mary Ellen Landon (Mark); Katherine Albert (David); Teresa Crowley-Kozar (Garry); Katherine Sharpe; Colleen Crowley McConkey (John); John Crowley (Cynthia) and Albert Crowley Jr. (Zita). Fondly remembered by several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Anne grew up on the farm in Hastings and later moved to Peterborough. She enjoyed a successful career for many years at DeLaval and St. Peter Catholic Secondary School before retiring. She was a positive force with a love for life, always teaching life lessons along the way. She was a strong, progressive, independent woman who loved to travel. She was a proud and active member of the Peterborough Golf and Country Club since the 1950's where she enjoyed her passion for golf, curling, bridge and the company of great friends. Anne received her pin for her 50 years as member of the CWL in Hastings and dedicated her life to helping others.
A special thank you to the kindness and compassion given each day by the staff at Fairhaven Home where she resided for the past 3 years. A private family visitation will be held at BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HASTINGS on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 10 am to 10:45 am. A funeral Mass will be held at OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL CHURCH, 51 Albert St. E, Hastings, ON on Saturday, August 20 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Cemetery, Hastings, ON. Reception to follow. If desired, donations most meaningful to the donor may be made to a charity of their choice. Online condolences may be made at www.brettfuneralchapels.com
