BYFORD, Herbert Gordon ‘Herb’ - Korean War Veteran, Royal Canadian Legion Past President Warkworth #380, Member Hastings #106, Past Master Percy Lodge #161 AF & AM — Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, September 9, 2016 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Carole Elizabeth (nee Henderson) for over 55 years. Dear father of Perry & his wife Debbie, Paul & his wife Janet, Gord & his wife Lorraine, and Herb. Proud grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Herb will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather at BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HASTINGS, from 9:00 am – 10:30 am on Saturday, September 17, 2016. Masonic Lodge Service at 10:30am. Royal Canadian Legion Service 10:45 am. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 11:00am, Reverend Jamie York officiating. Interment to follow at Warkworth Cemetery.
