Walsh, Irene Gertrude (nee Gibson, Member of C.W.L.) — Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, July 11, 2017 in her 102nd year. Wife of the late David Walsh (1983). Dear mother of Bernard & Bernadette of Ballybofey, County Donegal, Ireland, and Peter & Rosemary of Waterloo. Loved grandmother of Sarah, Maeve, Áine, David, Brian, Anthony, and Anne Marie. Dear sister of the late Nellie Doherty, Madeline Winfield, Leo, Jack, Gordon & Vince Gibson. Lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather at BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HASTINGS on Thursday from 7-9pm and on Friday from 10:00 – 10:45 am. Parish prayers will be held on Thursday at 6:45pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL CHURCH, 51 Albert Street E. , Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00am, Father Joseph Devereaux officiating. Interment at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.brettfuneralchapels.com
