To Vivs Family

Your mother was always such a vibrant woman.; full of life and very down to earth. Sorry for your loss. Many Fond memories ; Halloween and the wonderful popcorn balls she made and handed out. They were the highlight of the evening. Trips to Yorkville in the late 60’s.; Your mom took Pat and I to Yorkville more than once. These were very memorable experiences; it was good to experience life outside of Pickering. Visiting your home in Pickering and eating wonderful sausage rolls, buttertarts and banana bread. Her Banana bread recipe was my first recipe and I still use it today. It’s wonderful and very easy; a no nonsense recipe. During a visit earlier this year, your mom was a gracious hostess. My mother, Margot, and I had a lovey lunch followed by Viv’s wonderful buttertarts. Your mother assured me they were easy to make. She shared the recipe and some helpful hints on how to make them. The buttertarts I made were a success. This was a big accomplishment, as my previous attempts at pastry had been anything but successful. Armed with your mother’s helpful hints and assurance I succeeded. I had planned to call to thank her and to share my success. Sadly, I never did. Your mom will be missed. My mother margot was friends with your mother for more than 50 years. Sue + Margot Peschke
