Kanis, William Henry “Bill” (WWII Veteran, Member RCL Branch 300, Norwood) — Peacefully at Campbellford Memorial Hospital, July 19, 2017 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Drysdale) for over 68 years. Dear father of Douglas & his wife Cindy of Montreal, Stephen & his wife Linda of Mississauga, Brian & his wife Claire (predeceased) of Pincourt & Fred & his wife Kathy of Niagara Falls. Bill will be sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. Brother of Edward & Alfred, and the late Peter, Henry and Clarence. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may gather at BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HASTINGS on Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 from 12:30pm until 2:15pm. A Royal Canadian Legion service Branch 300 will follow at 2:15pm. A funeral service will follow at the chapel at 2:30pm, Reverend Roger Millar officiating. Interment at Trent Valley Cemetery.
